Suse Scholem is a contemporary jeweller and artist living in Melbourne.
Scholem graduated from Monash University in 2010 with Honours, a Bachelor of Visual Arts in Jewellery & Metalwork, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Her practice explores conceptual and social engagements of contemporary jewellery, with particular focus on interactive and ethical outcomes. She also prioritises heightened critical engagement with contemporary jewellery and the visual arts, and hence has begun curating as well as making. Scholem has presented three solo shows, participated in various group exhibitions, and curated two large scale exhibitions to date.
She is a founding member of the Ethical Makers Movement and in 2013 was awarded an Arts Grant from the City of Melbourne.
